A bedtime journal app for the last ten minutes of the day
You’re in bed. The light’s off, or nearly. And now — of course now — your head starts going through the day: the thing you said in the meeting, the text you haven’t answered, tomorrow’s list.
A bedtime journal app is for those ten minutes. It’s not a morning routine moved to the evening. It’s a place to put the day down before you put the phone down.
Diary BFF is built for that moment.
What a bedtime journal needs
Nothing to decide
At the end of the day, every extra choice is one too many. In Diary BFF, you open the app and you’re on tonight’s page. No template to pick, no mood to rate, no sign-up first. You type.
Easy in the dark, with one hand
You’re probably lying on your side with the phone held low. A bedtime journal should work like that: big enough to tap, calm enough not to light up the room.
Short is fine
A bedtime journal entry can be one line. “Still annoyed about the email.” That counts. You don’t have to write well or write much — the point is getting it out of your head and onto the page.
Someone to hear it, if you want
Some nights writing it down is enough. Other nights you’d like someone to hear it.
When you ask, your diary BFF reads what you wrote and says one thing back: a few sentences, at most one question. No lists, no lectures, no plan for tomorrow unless you ask for one. It doesn’t repeat back what you just said. Then it lets you go.
Your diary BFF remembers what you wrote, with the date. If the same thing has been on your mind three nights running, it can say so — and tell you which nights.
One page per night
Your writing, the chat and the replies stay together on one page for that night. A month from now, you can scroll back and read a night as it happened.
On Sundays, your diary BFF writes you a letter about your week.
A lock for the things you only say at night
What you write in bed is often what you’d least want read. Diary BFF opens with its own PIN, separate from your phone’s passcode, with no Face ID shortcut. Notifications never show what you wrote, because they can appear on a lock screen. Your entries are not used to train AI.
No score, no catching up
A bedtime journal shouldn’t become one more thing to keep up with. Diary BFF doesn’t send reminders to write, and if you skip a night, it won’t bring it up. Come back after a week and the page is just there.
